This one from your random gallery caught my eye. The yellow colour of the fg flowers contrasts nicely against the bg blue sky. Good sharpness and the city skyline makes a fine backdrop. A terrific high pov overlooking the city with good sharpness and a pleasant wide angled panoramic view. Tfs.

Nice repetition of the red and yellow flowerpots, which also add a nice warm cold colour contrast against the faint grey white blue colours in the bg wall. Excellent textural and tonal details in the bg wall too. Exposure on the highlights is ideal. The dark frame of the window adds a nice graphic element. Tfs.

I have never been there so this wide angled view from a high vantage point gives a good overview of the city. The confluence of the 2 rivers adds interest. Good sharpness with nice, subtle reflections. The 5 or 6 bridges spanning the 2 streams add repetition to the shot. Excellent sharpness and well framed and composed. The low, flat, covered tour boat adds a fg focal point. Tfs.

Punchy light contrasts and ideal saturation as well as good clean whites with solid blacks, on account of the perfect density levels and exposure level. Good framing and composition with plenty of breathing space right around. Excellent sharpness and to top it all off, it's an interesting building. The red brick building at left contrasts well against the blue sky. Tfs.

My condolences to the people of Nepal, India, Bangladesh and China, all of which lost citizens in the recent earthquake. Here I like the repetition of the prayer flags and the 2 silhouetted and relaxed men seated in the fg. Good textural details in the rough hewn fg stone pavement. Tfs.

I too was shocked at the level of destruction and the horrendous loss of life. I have been to Nepal twice, in 2000 and again in 2002. I saw evidence in Patan of the 1934 earthquake. To date, almost 2,600 people have been killed. Your photos now form an important archive of what Nepal used to look like. I guess to a certain extent, some of mine and other TE members do too, now. Btw have you read any reports on damage at Patan? Haven't seen any news from there. Hoping Nepal recovers quickly.

Good deep perspective and diminishing linear perspective and vanishing point near the red brown shed is provided by the row between the vineyards. Good sharpness and only slight motion blur from the passing red train carriage. The diagonal lines of the vineyards contrast well against the horizontal line of the passing train. Tfs.

Quite a high vantage point here that gives an expansive view. The fg shadow reminds me of the head of a Buddha statue form Thailand. Good sharpness overall although it seems a little soft right in the very distance. The topiary hedges in the shape of Maltese crosses add interest. Tfs.

Missed this one. Great that most of the hilltop has been retained as public space and parkland rather than carved up for townhouse suites / apartment blocks for the wealthy as often happens to prime real estate. The colour of the water around Cornwall is quite different to that of the North Sea and English Channel. Good sharpness and lots of small details to peruse. Tfs.

I know this place! I drove past it a few times on the way to Malgo's place. The warm cold color contrast between the blue sky and the red panels of the sports stadium is superb. Good sharpness and saturation and well framed and composed with plenty of breathing space right around. I like the fg shadow play with the fence and tree. Tfs.
