Hello Matthew - The tower makes a super subject, it has fairy-tale qualities. From my point of view, I think it would be nice to see a little more detail in the lower part of the shot, you could do this by lightening the mid-tones. The lamp post is a distraction but by moving yourself a bit you may have been able to place it on the vertical third line rather than having it almost dead-centre.
In any event a very good effort with good colour and crispness.

Hello Diane - I love the atmosphere of this beach side scene. The mistiness encourages walking rather than sun-bathing or swimming and many people are out enjoying a relaxed walk on the sands. I do like the depth you present here; the closer to you lens the clearer the figures contrasting with the softer more distant ones.
Did you use a long lens for this?

Lady In Red (For Craig) by jcpix (12534)

Yes, it really is amazing how a single brightly dressed human being can really "lift" a photograph by adding life, colour and interest, isn't it? Without your "lady in red" this picture wouldn't have been half so appealing.
Of course, the fact that this human being is an attractive young woman and also dressed partly in bright red lifts the picture even more, but you have placed her in just the right position in the frame. The rest of the photograph is well composed too with the diagonal line of the building disappearing nicely into the distance where we can just see another person, dressed in more bland clothing.
Lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and clarity. I'm sure Craig will love this!
