Stop making sense by maciekda (19891)

This is cool. A mishmash of things inside the frame, but they all make sense. The guy with the beer is great and the girl in the background seems like she is smiling at the beer guy. Anyway, interesting shot here, Maciek, and it works. Well done, mate!

This is cool. The view is just amazing I think and I agree with what Darren said as well. How did you like Zhujiajiao? For me it feels like a total tourist trap...went there myself, but couldn't take any good pictures while there. Anyway, not sure how to imporve this one...looks pretty good to me.[+]

Overexposure as a creative tool...not sure about it, you know? I would have liked to have seen this with normal color and exposed properly. The scene is cool and has a lot of potential going for it. Anyway, good of you to try new things, but for me this just does not work as much as your other shots.[+]

Well...even cowgirls get the blues.
Nice shot, simple in composition and subject matter, but given the boredom that comes off your subject the shot works. It's as if she just came out of the Nissan Gallery expecting to see wonderful pieces of art, but came away dissapointed. The way she absently flicks through the magazine is great as well. Good work.

Just came back from that area. Beautiful, eh?
Anyway, shot is nice, but for me it just does not WOW me. The region is made for photography, but I think you missed the mark here. I guess in Guilin it's all about light...when the light is good (if sunny...everyday after 4 PM) one can get amazing results. Here, the shot looks a bit too flat for me. The mist is nice and the mountains moving off into the background work well, but I need more punch here to really be moved.

I can hear ZZ Top in my head at this very moment.
Excellent composition and a nice way of incorporating the legs into the scene as well. I also like the headlight of the car as it really gives the shot another point of interest and highlights the important stuff in the frame. Excellent street photography with a new angle and twist. Well done!

I think this is a nice shot...peaceful I would say. What strikes me first is the repetition (which moves from edge to edge with a sort of triangle being seen on the bottom right and top left) of the tiles plus the Korean writing that you once again incorporated into your shot (the shopping guy being another shot where you did the same). The icing on the cake, though, is the read leaf (the yellow one is good but not as striking) which you placed in the right spot in the frame. This is excellent minimalistic work, Peter, just wonderful. Well done.[+]
