Hello Jean Jacques - So colourful and bright and another good shot from this location. Such a simple subject but packed with little details. Wow Mike - Have you been here for a whole year already? I remember when you first signed up to this addictive site and I had a look back in your gallery to your second post, the first I commented on. It was a great shot... still is! I remember then a series of the Bull Ring... also excellent. You started off well and have continued to grow and develop and have become, in my eyes, inspirational in the way you see things. You push the envelope and have begun to develop your own style. Love this one, at least now we all know what you look like :)

Hello Jean - What a wonderful Venetian moment; here we see not only a classic view of the Grand Canal but with the delightful boat laden with flowers. The lilac-coloured hull adds such a lovely colour contrast to the scene. Bright and beautiful and a well caught moment. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Bev - This is really interesting to see. Two of my father's half-brothers run horse-drawn barge trips along here and although I haven't taken a trip myself I have been to the location when visiting my step-grandma. Truly an amazing engineering marvel and even in these modern times a sight to see. Good use of the side light here, the shadows cast by the fence add to the strong lines of perspective and the canal takes our gaze deep into the shot and the cluster of houses. Simple composition but very well managed and constructed.

Hello Erling - This is so lovely. To begin with the colours work beautifully together and give the shot excellent harmony. The composition is almost two shots in one with the bright reflection of the church adding some lively tones to the quieter facade. Little details like the four chairs complete the image. Hello Dwaipayan - Perhaps the shot is a little scratchy but I think that adds to the feel of this shot. All the main elements are perfectly balanced and each one brings something special to the overall composition. I really like this presentation, well done! warm regardds Rosemary

Very well managed blue hour shot with good depth to the blues and some very lovely soft reflections in the water. An attractive and peaceful scene. Nice job Romano! Rosemary

Hello Romano - I seem to remember you posting a shot from this location before. Here the viewpoint is totally different and the location of the villa and garden is included in the wider view. Hello Leslie - I cannot understand why this charming shot has received so little comment, I love both versions and find the idea of of this gentleman and his horse touring the area on foot quite intriguing. Just the kind of character I would love to chat with. He obviously loves both horse and countryside and in this age of speed, he will see far more than if he were to ride on a bicycle even! A wonderful shot with very good detail and harking back to bygone times. Warm regards Rosemary
