other than this seeming a bit dark (though not sure if that might be my internet cafe screen), this is cool shot man. Seems like a lot of cops doing nothing at all. I thought it was japanese businessmen from the thumbnail (with the orderly walking in one direction).
Any reason you processed it with so little contrast?
btw, thanks for stopping by to comment on my pics man!

this is really, really well done. great comp, excellent light control, wonderful colours. I esp love how the dude in the little poster under "Golden" is looking up an the guy passing outside!
This really has a great fish vendor feel to it. It kind of reminds me of Kensington Market back in Toronto (ever been there? interesting place...)

awesome Isabel. Great note to go along with this and the cut off heads adds the right amount of atmosphere, anonymity, and universality. I have always wanted to take a trip to Brazil (been to Manaus, but that's it), and this just adds to it...
Hope you're well!

love all the black in this shot. the girl's expression is great too. seems just a touch soft, but acceptable.
sorry to hear about Kev's lens, that hugely sucks! I worry about that all the time as I'm always changing lenses on the go (or jumping on to things with my cam around my neck and smashing the lens hood on things...)

very cool scene, just dripping with photographic potential. I love the mood in this shot! The guy in the background is quite a cool addition too.
My critique: it's too bad that the boy's head (in the shadow) got cut off, it seems like an important part of the image. I see this shot being taken with more negative space around the boy and taken as a horizontal image so the boy has something to run into or out of(though that last bit depends on what's on the left and right). I also see this as a BW image as the slight colour really doesnt add to the image and the higher contrast that a BW can handle would help with the mood.
All the best Aline!

lovely light here Ken! nice comp, textures, and subtle colours. great idea for a shot too (I like the do not enter street sign the cyclist is ignoring). I kindof wish the cyclist were larger in the frame though, or if some feet were in the shot, just a touch off balance...
hope all is well on your side of the world!

HA! That's fantastic! This is perfectly timed (great also that he looked your way--did you call out to him?) and the guy is just the perfect height. Very, very nice.
I'm not sure if I'd crop out the right though, and I think it's just a small touch underexposed, but thats easy enough to correct.
