Hi Yuo,
What a great shot - very clean and crisp and perfect exposure.
It's another good example of going against "the rules" which would ordinarily suggest that this type of shot be taken during the blue hour. Personally, I think the totally black background works really well in terms of emphasising the light and energy of the scene.
Great composition, great exposure!

Hi Phill,
I really like this photo - it really stands out from the crowd. Lovely muted colours, great composition and a fantastic effect on the water created from the long exposure.
I would say this was worth getting wet for!

Lovely colours in this photo - makes it jump out of the page. The whole scene feels so warm - I really want to go here!
I like the inclusion of the footsteps in the sand too as it justifies the amount of sand in the photo, giving it a point.
Really nice travel brochure shot.

Hi Ricard,
I first saw this photo yesterday, but didn't comment on it because I wanted to check with 'the boss' (my wife). She confirmed that these ladies are actually tour guides on a training trip - not university students. Last time I was in Japan, I saw a similar group at a shrine in Tokyo.
I think this was always going to be a difficult shot to take given the lighting conditions.

It won't appeal to everyone, but this is definitely my cup of tea...sorry!
I really like the powerful colour of the plants and the way they are presented with the diagonal lines crossed by the line of the hill - a very nice graphical composition.

Very crisp and clear photo. I think the low point of view works well to enhance the graphic nature of the shot and emphasise the length of the bridge. Great colours too, with an interesting contrast between the vivid colour of the timber and the muted colours in the sky. Finally, this is one of those times when the vignetting contributes in a positive way. A really well crafted photo.
