Very dramatic! What a great sky. Seems like a strange place to put a notice board when there's nobody there to see it on a regular basis! Looks like the prelude to Armageddon! Very nicely done showing a good mix of menace and beauty.

Wow! Amazing! Very original PoV, and a great idea to have those two skiers appear 'through the window'. Super colours, perfect background, and good light which keeps the colours bright. Well done too for keeping the snow at the top white without the blue tint so often seen in pictures like this. It contrasts really well with the blue background.
Well done :)

Hi Wolf,
Your bold colours and excellent use of the polarizer alerted me to your gallery. I am a bit of a sky freak and most of your photos have this as the main feature. I really like this one because of it's surreal, mystical quality, bold colours and, of course, the sky. Your framing of thick dark borders top and bottom somehow enhance the mood you capture in your pictures and help bring them to life.
This one could easily have been taken in England which is probably why it makes me feel at home.

Hi Roberto,
Thanks for the warning...as a confirmed arachnophobe, I think I'll give this place a wide berth! It looks like an eight-legged monster equivalent of 'War of the Worlds' and would make a good poster for a movie.
Seriously, a photographer's dream location and you have chosen a good PoV to place poor old St. Pauls in dire straights.
If it was real, I'd definitely be going in the opposite direction!
Well done. Best regards, Vicky

Hi Ryan,
Magnificent shot of this fascinating place. How on earth did she get to stand there? Looks like the only way is to be lowered by rope! I suspect the camera angle has something to do with that though, right?
Setting up a tripod must have been tricky too, but the light is perfectly managed and the colours are wonderful. Human inclusion shows the scale and the patterns on the rocks keep the eyes moving.
Well done and thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi Bertrand,
This is terrific framing...how long did you have to wait for that biker :-) Looks like he's riding into a different dimention.
The graphics are super and the symmetry is spot-on. Very pleasing to the eye and well presented.
Well done

Hi Jean Yves,
You've caught the light just right here. Wonderfully atmospheric, and the lack of people enhances the hint of bad weather and you've definitely made the best of these conditions. Right hand top space nicely filled by the tree. Excellent clarity and POV.
Hope you are well.
Best wishes,
Vicky

Hi Andreas,
Magnificent bold and strong colours shown here and the reflection is wonderful. I like the inclusion of the piece of wood in the foreground and the picture as a whole is very well balanced. Can't see anything wrong with the composition at all. It's beautifully done. Best wishes, Vicky

Hi Lynne,
I've visited countless awe inspiring places in the UK, but Wastwater has to be one of the best. On a dull day, when the clouds are low around the mountains, it has got to be one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen. This picture is nice, captured when the light is good and the conditions are bright. Not sure if the presence of the person enhances it any though, as it distracts from the overall beauty of the scene (no offence to the lady!).
You'd be hard pushed to take a bad shot of this lake, but do watch the waterline - it could be straighter.
Well done for bringing back happy memories of this lovely place.
Best wishes,
Vicky

Hi Norm,
Well, it looks pretty good to me! No problem with sharpness and the exposure is fine, giving good detail to the foreground, the mountain and the sky/clouds. In fact, on first glance, it's difficult to decide what is mountain and what is cloud, which makes you look closer and adds to it's charm.
Colours are good and your manipulation in RAW has worked extremely well.
Excellent shot.
Best wishes, Vicky
