Hello Jamie,

Nice work. The HDR effect here does seem a little surreal. For sure, it is a colorful, well-executed composition. There are purists who don't want to deal with HDR...I've never tried it but will...because they feel it's too much manipulation and not "honest." But they probably use split ND grad. filters, so who's to say. Anyway, this is a very picturesque image. The timing is excellent.

I like this photo, too, Andrew. It has a very remote, wild, simple and essential quality to it. I don't know if it's the arrangment of the trees, the tall dry grass or the blue sky. The elements seem very Australian. Good job.

Exquisite capture, something to easily overlook unless looking through a magnified lens and excluding the surrounding.

Nice. Just enough of his body to provide context of what he's doing...combined with the blurred background. But the focus on his face does highlight the theme: concentration. I was in Kerala for two weeks and have fond memories of this area...the Land of Coconuts (and fishermen).

I think this might be similar to another shot you once did? I can't remember...I have not been on TrekEarth for some time...very, very busy. I love this photo. You visualized the image and made it happen. And I'm guessing you over-exposed a couple stops and did some other adjustments. Nice work.
