Hello, now this is what I call trekking albeit on the back of a bike. what I want to know is how do you find your way around unless perhaps you know how to read Japanese. Your photo shows the world just how forested Japan is thanks to a ruler 400 hundreds ago who implemented a strategy to keep the island forested. Very forward thinking...

Interested to see Pyongyang on a cloudy and rainy August day. When I visited in October, DPRK was sunny for the whole of two weeks except for the day when I was flying away which reflected my mood.
You conveyed a sense of mystery in this image. Ryugyong Hotel growing out of the clouds looks like a lonely sail of a ghost yacht. What really makes it is of course the three umbrellas.

I've just come across this one as just yesterday I posted a picture I had taken in East Greenland - but that was from the summer of 1970!
This is a fabulous image of the Aurora but what makes this one so special in comparison to other images of it is the onlooker seated on a chair. Your composition is wonderful and, of course, we naturally follow the line of sight of the solitary onlooker, admiring with him the miraculous spectacle before us. The seated man is placed perfectly in the frame and the diagonal line of the lights in the sky divides the image perfectly. Even the tall radio mast adds pleasingly to the composition.
Gorgeous light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
Have a great day,
