Nice bit of photojournalism and good composition. I've been to places like this from Bolivia to Zanzibar. They're all pretty much the same, and the beer drunk in the company of the locals somehow quenches the thirst
and is better remembered than that served in fancy bars of London or Paris.

Lovely composition! The snow, however, is a bit too grey. One way to avoid this is to open your f stop 1 or 2 notches in the manual mode, which is basically what one of those preprogrammed "beach/snow settings" does.

How are you? I think of you from time to time and wonder what you're up to. Because of this lovely shot, I'll probably think even more of you when I drink my morning coffee...ha!
I'm off to Dublin on Thursday (Nov 27th) for a 10-day visit with my daughter who, since her return from Bolivia in August, has been working there. I'm getting ready for cold weather and lots of Guinness beer to keep me warm...ha!
Hope all's well,

I, too like boats. Yours here is right on. Reminds me of a painting I did (check out http://retlash.multiply.com. By the way, I'll be in Dublin from Nov. 28 thru Dec 8 visiting my daughter who works there. Any chance we could get together during that time and compare phography notes over a couple of pints of Guinness? If yes, please send me a mail to email@example.com, as I'm leaving for Carcassonne in the morning and may not have access to replies to trekearth.
