Belle scene bucolique de la region de Dieppe avec le petit village au loin. It is too bad that the power companies don't bury their power lines underground.It is nice to see a touch of green while we are experiencing a winter snow storm:-)

There is a sublime ethereal quality to this image that transports the viewer into calming state of mind.The diagonal flow of white highlights makes this composition exceptional.What an ideal location this would make for a verdant water garden! :-)

An exceptional mood shot Joseph that makes one feel part of the scenery.The clarity of light reflection on the foreground rocks is an added attraction.Belle endroit.

A great stop-action shot Mehmet...an interesting change from the usual shots of swans in total calm.It certainly shows how this swan is trying to get attention from its rather uninterested partner:-)

A great spot to be in the early morning.Peaceful and relaxing, especially if you are in a canoe:-)I've added a workshop version simply to offer a different way of appreciating the small attractive island.

With the rain and sleet we had yesterday you could have got this shot without blurring the dials Jean-Pierre :-) My guess would be that this an old Thibault control panel from a fire truck...est ca ? :-)

Thibault started his business in the backwoods of Quebec and his company went on to be a North American leader in producing fire trucks and fire fighting equipment. For a brief history of the company, click HERE. And no I am not a fireman, just a farmer who had occasion to see these trucks up close during a fire we once had on our farm.

Indeed this is a refreshing image to view as we struggle with our current wave of heat and humidity.The shadowed blues of the snow remind me very much of a painting by Group of Seven painter Lawren Harris.Click HERE for a look at his Snow II.

I wish you wouldn't hasten us towards fall while we are enjoying our all too short summer bliss Sarolta :-) But a wonderful shot of things to look forward to in a few months.I like how you managed to keep both the foreground bullrushes and the background trees in focus, with an attractive reflection to blend both together.

Great background information to go with your totem shot John.I like how you have framed the subject with the dark cedars on either side.Just a little nitpick but I might have considered cropping off some of the bottom to focus on the winged section and also to eliminate that slightly distracting exposed cliff on the far side of the water. Speaking of water, I see you have moved to the west coast...I hope you have found some exciting whitewater runs for your canoe out there :-)
