Well here you took the right decision. The colour version doesn't reveal the strength of the sight (diagonal repetition under typical lowland sky). Here the contrast is well balanced.
Nice work.

Beautiful sight... idealised, romantic view of Holland of course, but it still works! Your pics of the Dutch countryside are my favourite.
The sharpness of the upper half is well balanced by the smooth, delicate colouring below.

These really are magic moments for anyone but of course even more so for the photographer. You captured this one very elegantly. The vale grey strip (centre right) seems a bit out of place, as if the clouds were wiped with a sponge. Distracting at first but it helps the trees standing out. Well done.

I'm not familiar with HDR but the result is amazing. Realy nice colours.
Thanks for sharing and providing the link. The large version is so much more impressive.

Beautifull shot. With that sky in the background it surely is a real exotic sight. Good composition... given by nature of course but taken at the right moment and very shart rendering. Think I'll try taking a tripod on my next hike.
Very interesting portfolio.

Notwithstanding the magnificent sky this is a 3-star image. Congratualations.

Compliments! The greys of sky and buildings contrast beautifully with the oranges towards the horizon. You seized the moment perfectly.

Well cropped: I like the disturbing false symmetry, makes it interesting. To catch the entire park this way makes a great sight. Tricky setting for a wide angle lens... impossible to get the out-of-centre lines straight; maybe in this case it helps to give the impression of a real view (as opposed to constructed image). The New York air is too hazy to get sharp details in the distance... Well, that's NY ;) I would have chosen to wipe the reflection in the upper right part of what I guess to be the lighting inside but you did very well.

Hi Brenda,
Long ago (long before digital photography) I rarely missed an opportunity to take pictures of reflections of all kinds because it shows us familiar objects or scenes as belonging to a different universe. Seeing your picture I might renew this interest. Courtesy to the artist of course, but your rendition is very interesting; you chose the right spot for perfect symmetry and to include the many elements that make up that alternate universe. Congratulations.

Very nice, this one. I like the contrast of the shiny rocks (rendered with good sharpness), the darker parts among them and the misty water. I add a workshop version with shadows enhanced to emphasize this contrast (just wanted to know what it would look like).
Well done.
