The colors are beautiful and dramatic, and even the ripples in the water are crisp and in focus. Just one small suggestion - it might look even better if it were cropped on the bottom and the right side, to draw even more attention to the rays of light breaking through the clouds on the left. But it's lovely the way it is too.

Excellent job capturing the dynamic light. I also like that the cloud dominates the photo's composition. This makes it look as if the cloud is almost crushing the building below - very dramatic.

I like not only the striking point of view and the soothing combination of blues and grays, but also the almost startling juxtoposition of what is clearly a NYC building as a back drop to the serene, Asian-style sculpture. It's a simple photo, but there's a lot of interesting stuff going on in it.

I don't know about frames - I don't use them - but I like this duck. :) Great detail in the head and neck, down to the delicate colorations in the neck feathers, but then the blurred wings add a sense of action. I can sense the duck about to take off.

Very nice - the lines and colors are so simple, and yet it does so much to evoke a mood. I can just visualize many of these tiny flames lighting up houses. Congrats on your first TE photo!

Very nice use of a narrow depth of field - showing the many additional crosses out of focus in the background evokes very clearly the many soldiers being remembered.

Hi Asle - I love the colors, the composition is good and the light reflecting off the rocks in the foreground is a good touch. I'd love to know the aperture and shutter speed - it looks like the water is somewhat blurred, but that is ok, actually it adds an ethereal touch. Nina
