that's a cool effect, i'm going to get a waterproof case before i go and hope to capture some similar shots. I'd clone out the bubble (is that what it is?) in the foreground though - almost looks like waste floating on the water!

Love this one - surprised it hasn't had more comments! Good focus, and the island landscape in the background adds great context. I wonder if it would benefit from running Levels in Photoshop? It could possibly gain some contrast I think. Still, superb photo.

Hey there. This is a lovely photo of something very poignant. There is a bit more of a story to it actually - a young girl called Sadako, who contracted leukemia due to the atomic bombing, resolved to make 10,000 paper cranes in accordance with a tradition that it could save her life. Unfortunately she didn't complete the cranes before her death, so children from all over Japan contributed cranes which are now displayed at the memorial. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadako_Sasaki if you'd like to know more.[comment]

Superb shot - did he use proper underwater gear (lights and stuff)? I've always thought it was really hard to get these type of shots (with the correct colours etc) without pro gear. I think i'd be tempted to do a little sharpening in Photoshop. Try the "unsharp mask".
I was wondering what you were doing in Australia (when you should be visiting us) before I read the comment!
