Greetings, Eric.
That is a splendid deep blue you have caught in your photo, reflecting the sky and the boats - the shimmering water looks almost like a bowl of paint. Lovely colours make it a delightful display of summer.

Andrew

Hello MarieLouise.
I like this line of public bikes - they are more colourful than the ones in Paris, which look like an Army distribution. The line of bikes makes a good diagonal in your picture, but there are other elements to like - such as the interesting looking wall behind them with areas of crimson colour, and the shadows. Nice work, and great note!

Andrew

Hello Adrian.
No, do not crop the top! I like the way the bright decorations are framed above and below by the shadows. The photo has a good sense of perspective, looking along the tops of the three heads. Beautiful clarity and sharpness, a terrific night exposure.

Hello Sakis.
A great daily life shot, full of interest. The colour tones in the sky are amazing, and the light reflected on the water is very well exposed. The picture has a strong atmosphere about it.

Hello Peter.
I like this wonderful suggestion of loneliness. Even though it's summer, I like the subdued light. And the shadows of the seat on the pier look superb thanks to the low, slanting sun. I found your note interesting; it explains the tall structure on the horizon, among other things. I wonder how far out on the pier this one was taken.

Andrew

Hello Marc.
A very impressive and atmospheric photo. I like the idea of seeing what the cyclist is seeing as he contemplates. Some great colours in this night shot of an urban/industrial landscape. I like the way you captured the subject as he stands in a beam of light which illuminates the back of his jacket. Very good noise-free picture.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Philip.
Astounding sunrise photo! What a great perspective you have here, with the camera so close to the tree, looking along its length toward the mist-covered sunlight. Superb photography!

Hi Marlene.
It took me a few moments to find the Marlboro reference in the photo - good title. The cowboy ad looks quite absurd in this setting. What a garish looking poster that is beside it! For a movie perhaps. The shot itself gives a very good view of the city (which I have never been to), with a nice banding of light and shadow in the foreground. Is that just a haze, or pollution? I've never associated Katmandu with smog!

Andrew

Hello Wojtek.
A superb photo. You have composed this so well, with the rear view of the blurred figure in the background making a great balancing feature of the picture. It is very pleasing to the eye to have the meditative figure far to the right, studying his papers. The clarity and sharpness are just right. Fine work.

Andrew

Hello Christophe.
This photo brings back memories of my trips to this area many years ago. I remember those broad brown rivers flowing through the jungles. You got a great viewpoint here, with the bend in the river and the mountainous background. I even like the small red flowers right in the bottom corner! Well done.
Regards,
Andrew
