Beautifully dramatic point of view om B&W. I like the careful framing that includes the very top of the tall background building and just the tops of the taxis.

I am happy to see the lighting on the tree and I think this is what "makes" this shot come to life; almost as if the arms (branches) are reaching out.
The added mid ground action of the boats add depth to the polarized (?) sky. Nice!

Ah yes, this is what separates the grand views of the American West with those of the east coast. Wonderful glow and depth to remaining as a lasting impression of your Yellowstone trip.

Stunning! I guessed it was the setting sun reflection on the shore of some lake or ocean. Great example of having your camera at the ready. thanks for this shot of inspiration...

The compositition is just like a postcard, I think. Very nice. I might consider cropping off the right side just a tad to get rid of the upper tree branches that are a bit distracting. More work can be done to the image in post-production but it is the sight that is very appealing.

I agree there are lighting difficulties to this scene but your shot is spot on. The timing of the train is perfect and well composed.

You are rewarded with a lovely view. The placement of the rock face is just right; you take advantage of the diagonal line leading into the valley.
