Hi Siamak,
A little soft on the focus. I think since the subjects are looking towards the left, the extra space in the photo should be in front of them, not in back. Did you crop the photo at all? Some of the white chairs are overexposed as well. This can happen when you shoot in midday when the sun is high.
Also, while I understand you don't like to put notes about your photo and you want the image to speak for itself, it would be nice to learn more about this. For instance, I know very little about Azerbaijan, so is this at a public pool? beach? hotel? I suspect it might be at an expensive hotel pool. Do all children swim naked? Help us to learn about your country!

Beautiful shot of some Topis and the vista beyond is fun to look at. Definitely agree with the 800 pixel wide comment. You might also crop a little of the foreground out as well.
Are you looking east (into Tanzania) or west towards Kigali? Just curious. I am guessing east as there is water next to TZ.

Ahhh, memories. This captures the reality of the Old Taxi park in Kampala. It is old in that there is a new one, but both are actively being used. There are sections of the park where the matatus that are headed East park. Within that section, there are smaller sections going to individual eastern towns. To catch a ride, you decend into the chaos and just ask someone where the matatu to Mbale is. They point and you walk a ways and ask again. Finally, when you get close, someone will grab your arm and take you to the Mbale matatu that is leaving next. You get in and wait for it to fill.
Once the bus is full, it begins the long and amazing effort to extricate itself from the mass of other parked busses! That's just the start of your African journey!

Wonderful capture of the daily life. Bikes are not uncommonly used to transport the matooke (the bananas) in Uganda, but they are definitely used ubiquitously to do so in the western part of Uganda where you shot this. They can get up to 6 stems on one bike. You might also see some chickens hanging from the handle bars!

Interesting shot. Nice to think about how gentle animals can be when they wish to be!
Did you try shooting from about 90 degrees to your left? The sun would have been more to your back then - and the monkey face would be showing. Some of the monkey's back is a little dark. Also, did you crop? If so, next time it would be nice to leave the tip of the tail in as well.
I do like the shot, TFS.

I won't comment on the things which come from the old photo and the scanning.
You are right, this is a nice photo that captures a moment of embarking on a long ride. This reminds me of a train ride from Addis to Harrar with the Ethiopians on board chewing chaat continuously. These experiences are better in remembrance than they were at the time given the discomforts. TFS.
