Why do I find this photo fun? I am not sure but it has the vibe of normal life turned into something different - a beaut.

I usually find this style of photograph a little bland but what catches the attention so well here is the combination of linear elements and the luminosity of the sky. Metering snow is not easy so kudos for that too, plus a really nice B&W conversion.

I like this photo very much simply because you seem to have caught the illicit mood both in terms of composition and the colour palette. The greyness is urban, the motorcyclist in the foreground adds greater context and the gentle distortion of the fisheye adds energy to the smoke and lads the eye round.

I can't help thinking that the 10mm choice adds an extra sense of otherness to this image. Reading is a good photographic subject and the room itself comes out as a character in the photo - the WA view allows the room to embrace the readers without dominating them or being too claustrophobic.

It isn't easy to capture flowers in a new context but this is the first time I have seen a field and buildings used in this context. Well spotted and very nice... there is a story here.
