Keep the pictures coming, no matter how hard and explicit they are. People need to see them. After all photography is not only about over saturated landscape or the like.

Beaubourg is one of my favorite hunting ground. I've a subscription and I go there 4 or 5 times a month.
Heres is my version of the same work of art.

Interesting composition, however, I find it still too centered and the little white chapel is a bit overexposed. Closing th aperture a bit more would have fixed this problem.

Ce qui est vraiment dommage pour cette image c'est le post-traitement qui y est fait; couleurs beaucoup trop saturée. Dominante de cyan trop prononcé dans les ton moyens et le magenta trés visible dans les feuillage dans le ciel à droite. On sent que vous avez poussez "les manettes" à fond pour faire de cette scéne une carte postale "flashy". Encore une fois, c'est dommage, mais cela ne marche vraiment pas pour moi.

Autre chose, la quantité de lumiére disponnible n'affecte pas le choix d'une focale. Par contre elle affectera le choix du couple vitesse d'obturateur et ouverture de diaphragme pour obtenir une exposition correcte.

Just for you to know, this "pink" event on the champs Elysées wasn't due to the french legislative election but to fans celebrating their rugby team "Le Stade Français" after they won the french derby the day before. The team was standing on a double deck and roofless bus going down and up the avenue and showing to the fans the "Bouclier de Brenus" which is the trophy they won.

Aucune des quatres reponses. C'est en fait un sculpture faite en tubes en fibre de verre coloré de l'artiste Raymond Moretti (plus connu pour ses peintures). Si elle orne une tour d'aération, elle n'en reste pas moins une scultpture et certainement pas un détail architectural.

Your explanation is good, the blue of the ice come from the oxygene trap in it. With the pressure, the air imprisoned in the ice get compressed until it can not get compressed anymore. That's what gives the blue colour to the ice. The shade of blue that can be perceived really depend of the light that hit the ice.
