Salut !!

je vois que tu as craqué pour un 40D ?
Heureux de cet achat ? L'upgrade vaut vraiment le coup ?
Je vois aussi que les photos sont traitées avec CS3... pfffou ca fait un budget tout çà (j'ai vu aussi le 24-70 2.8, wouw....)

Hello there,

I appreciate the series, I have only seen a few of the photos, but now I want to watch the full series. Very good idea, and your notes are very good to understand that life is not easy.

I am a French IT Engineer, and in a few years, my colleagues and me will probably have no work because for the same price they prefer Indian, Russian and now Chinese people.

But all the French people are not paid "huge salaries", and we are not "half skilled"... :)

That being said, I hate the way multinational companies play with people, simply going to the cheapest salaries... And when Indian people will be paid too much, they will find someone else (it is already the case with Chinese people - problem is they don't have your skills in IT !!!)

Ok back to the photo, I really like the mood, it feels "real". The only thing is I find they sometimtes have a yellow cast, but maybe it is my monitor ?

I guess this photo will have many many views, and not as much comments...

But I must say this photo is really interesting, for its unusual and daring point of view.

The black background is very welcome, I simply regret the left elbow of the girl on the left is truncated, but you did not have any wide angle, and anyway I think that a wide angle would not have been flattering with such a point of view.

I find you framed it perfectly.

The clouds form a kind of echo to the shape of the boat, they have the same direction, and they add a dynamic touch.

You could enhance your photo by having a look at the histogram; I am pretty sure you can get some whiter whites in the clouds.
I'll try this in a WS.

Excellent point of view, thanks to the 400mm (x1.6 !) we have an amazing feeling of proximity between us, the fisherman and the waterfall.

The only thing is I find it is a bit too "golden", but it is a personnal taste.

Cette route semble ne jamais s'arreter et se fond dans l'horizon.

Les couleurs, par curiosité j'aimerais savoir si c'est naturel, filtré à la prise de vue, ou encore filtré en post processing ?

En tout cas l'effet est là et il se dégage une impression de calme et de sérénité, alors que paradoxalement le sujet (une route loin d'être déserte) ne s'y prete à priori pas.

Vraiment bien vu, et je suis étonné du peu de critiques sur cette photo....

Bonjour,
j'aime bien la compo, et le lieu...

mais alors il y a un gros probleme technique de décalage de couleurs, tout simplement ! J'ai du mal à croire que l'aberration chromatique du DSC-H2 soit si prononcée, mais peut-etre...

On voit très bien que le canal vert déborde sur les côtés, donc on a des franges vertes vers l'extérieur, et rouges à l'intérieur. Et sur les zones ou cela se voit moins, c'est quand meme responsable de cette impression de "flou".

Je trouve aussi que c'est trop saturé sur les rouges, je propose donc un Workshop rapide (sur lequel je n'ai pas appliqué la moindre correction de netteté).

Edit: c'est "Strasbourg" et non "Strabourg" au fait...

ah j'aime beaucoup, les couleurs sont sympas et assez chaudes, et j'aime bien cette route qui s'en va en haut à gauche.

Bon évidemment, à 300mm, à f5.6, avec un zoom standard, ben ca donne ca... (meme à f8 d'aileurs) : un manque de contraste.
L'histogramme est typique: une vraie distribution gaussienne, bien ventrue au milieu :)

Bon j'ai essayé un WS super rapide avec un mode produit puis une courbe, mais ca n'est pas génial non plus...

Salut,
de nouveau la signature du 10mm, mais de nouveau aussi ma critique, j'aurais bien aimé aussi une correction de perspective coté droit, car la ca me perturbe un peu, ce batiment très haut très droit, à côté d'un autre qui semble tomber un peu...

Cela dit, c'est bien capté, pas facile d'avoir les deux j'imagine, et comme d'hab, un beau ciel bleu, avec juste ce qu'il faut de nuages !

Hello,
I like the view, the story, and the heavy weather.

I would maybe try some postprocessing to try to add a more dramatic feeling to the scene, it might be rewarding.

The only thing that annoys me is that it seems the left part of the photo is blurred ? Maybe it is just a bit dark, and maybe you should add some more sharpening when reducing your photo ?

Zut j'aurais du écrire en francais finalement... :)
