Hello Paolo: This is a very striking photo of the statue and even though it has been done many times before you did an outstanding job with exposure and composition. When looking at your photos from New York this one really caught my eye and I don't understand why you have not gotten more recognition for it. Good work.

Hi Farah:

I read somewhere that the National Geographic photographers sometimes take 20,000 photos or more just to get the dozen or so they use in a typical NG article so don't feel defeated at all.

The noise in this shot really doesn't bother me that much and in fact if we were not in the digital age right now and still using film exclusively the noise or grain would not even be part of the conversation. Your composition is effective and you could not ask for a better view of the ibis itself.

Great job panning. Just the right amount of blur because you chose the perfect shutter speed. The sharpness of the tractor, trailer, branches and passengers contrasts nicely with the motion blur of the rest of the scene.

Excellent sky, good sharpness and detail in the palms. Colors are very good and the position of the birds flying by add a lot to this image.

The 4 "people" in this image really strike me. A 2-dimensional sign, a 3-dimensional statue, a live gentleman and a shadowy figure of unknown gender, though I get the impression the person is female. I think this is a very good photo with several interesting elements but I think very few other people will agree with me.
