There's plenty to say about your photo, which I wish you had added.
The hill on the left is Fairview mountain, which I climbed a few times. There's a hiking trail from the parking lot you can follow to reach the top, and look down that very steep cliff to the water below.
Straight ahead are the glaciers which feed the lake with water. In July, a wind blows snow from there to FairView, enabling hikers to enjoy a mid-summer snowball fight.
The lake's colour comes from the fine dust of rock pulverized by the glaciers.
On the right side of this scene is a more useable hike route where one can go to a tea house and see a mountaineer's cabin perched atop a treeless rocky ridge.
Behind the photographer is the Chateau Lake Louise.

the light defines this subject - at first glance it appeared to be a boat on a frozen lake (yes, I live in Canada!) but now I see how the diffused light removes much of the background contrast to showcase the lovely rotted boat.

i like the way the soft light is captured in this image.
At first i was going to do a workshop to corrrect the white balance, then decided the warm cast was appropriate.
Perhaps this image is better on treklens as it is more artistic than geographical.

I know exactly where that beach is!
And your photo is accurate with the foggy air.
I like the sepia-toned effect which makes the subject stand out from the background. The leading line to the other surfer is a valuable element of this composition.

Delightful scene! the whites are outstanding (is this a detergent advertizement?) and the people are well-placed in the composition. This is good poster material.
Keep up the good work

I recall reading about the oculum (eye). Images of Roman gods and heroes were placed in the recessed squares such that they would be illuminated over the course of the year, as the sun moves up and down in the sky, as well as across.
Hauling concrete up such a height was difficult without modern machinery, so the Romans would mix heavy aggregate for the lower pourings, then use lighter lava rock for the upper portions.
Back to the photo: good composition and exposure. Post-processing didn't ruin a good picture.
