Hi Joao,
Nice shot, I actually like the whole Tate Gallery series, brings back nice memories. The slight softness matches the atmosphere. My only question is related to the tower not completely vertical, I thought it was due to the low focal length but it seems like the whole image is slightly angled. Was this on purpose?
Season's greetings,

Hi Iuli,
The graininess mentioned by the comment above does not bother me. However, I would have cropped a little from the top and perhaps right side, as IMHO it has a tad too much sky. The other question that pops to my mind is: why didn'y you consider making it a panoramic view? The length/height ratio asks for a pano... Otherwise, nice shot, it inspires me to try something similar in Ithaca.
Craciun Fericit!

Hi Isa,
Sorry to hear about this, and a nice image to illustrate your note. The idea of the image is very interesting. I must confess that I had to stare a while trying to figure out what is it and how was it done. Congrats for another great one!
Take care,
Catalin

Nelu, you are a great landscape photographer! I was told already that Western Canada is very nice, and your pics showcase it very well. Composition aside (although it is really good!), I wonder how can you get colors so rich and saturated just as needed... Congrats for all your pics!!

Congrats for graduating, Teo!!! and best of luck for the job of your dreams.
On another note, this is a very nice pic! Unlike a previous reviewer, I like the slight softness, together with the well-chosen desaturation and the tight framing suggests a dream-like atmosphere, or like evoking memories in a movie. The only small criticism would be the large white area in the background which unfortunately detracts some of the attention... otherwise all is really nice.
Take care,
Catalin

Salut Nelu,
Numai bine,
Catalin

Yesss... this was my first decent camera, these are Zenith cameras made in the former USSR in the '70s and '80s. Heavy cameras, built like tanks, but they were doing the job.
Thanks for bringing back nice memories... now you have to show me a photo magnifier :-)
On the photo, I like the antiquated look given by the B&W (did you give it a shade of sepia?) and the grain. If the frame looked like a film, it would have suggested a magnified B&W slide film. Really nice!!!
Cheers,
Catalin

Great one, Amber! I've tried for a white to get something like that from the plane, but it was bad weather, or a dirty window, or a poor seat... never got something decent. Therefore, I'm glad to see excellent detail and great sharpness in your image, Chicago has a great downtown. Very nice, TFS!
