I like this one much better--the colors seem more natural and the alpenglow is nicer. The dark spot in the corner (presumably caused by polarizer?) is a little off-putting, though. Overall there's quite a bit of unevenness of light, but it's still a beautiful image. Thanks for sharing.

Torres del Paine is one of those places that almost seems to be enhanced by cloudy weather, because the weather is so extreme. I'll say it: this photo wouldn't be as good in sunny weather. No way. The moodiness of the clouds combined with the jaggedness of the peaks makes the photo. Awesome shot.

It's been photographed millions of times, but it never gets old. Lovely shot. I'm a fan of a slightly warmer image (the shadows are a bit blue/cold-looking), but that's a quibble. Can't wait to get back here!

Brrr...Looking at this makes me cold. I was just in Calgary and the temperature never rose above about -15, so I can only imagine how cold it was when you took this shot. Lovely shot. Love the early morning light in particular.

Love the light here Steve, especially the light on the pine trees in the foreground. (I love that sort of light in the northern pine forests). You got a really nice reflection as well. Did you use a polarizer? Judging by the sky I'm going to guess no. That's the only thing that could have made it look better. Beautiful shot.

Lovely. As beautiful as the Canadian Rockies are in the the summer, I find them to be even more stunning in the winter. Nothing better than seeing the sun light up those snow-clad peaks on a clear winter's morning.

You've captured it beautifully here, with a very dreamy feel due to the snow (and what looks like a little bit of low-lying cloud around Chephren?). Everything about this image is beautiful. I can only imagine how cold you were taking this. :) (I've been in that same boat, and so my hat is off to you).

This is a really nice shot of this place. It seems like it's always cloudy here, but you got a little bit of good light. Love the rock in the foreground.

Wow. With the cloudy sky, the greenery, the sea, and what appears to be yellow gorse, this looks so much like Ireland.

Wow, you took this in June? I remember going for weeks on end in the winter without a clear view of the mountains, what with the inversions and the constant rain. (I lived in Santiago for a couple years). Love the shot.
