Simple but really nice and atmospheric. Good DOF. Did you use matrix or spot metering? I would possibly have used spot metering (off the eyes) to get the face a little brighter relative to the background, but I think it is a really good photo.

Really nice Matthew. Getting such a different angle on something which is almost photographed to death is quite an achievement.
