This is a really fine shot. I particularly like your point of view because it emphasises the shyness of a geisha - a fleeting glimpse of an age gone by.

This is an outstanding portrait in so many ways - your point of view is great and you have selected a depth of field that eliminates the distractions in the background I also like the light and shade on the face and the laugh lines on her nose. Very well done.

this phenomemon is likely due to ice crystals in the upper atmosphere (one can see the wispy clouds containing the ice crystals) diffracting the sun's rays and producing this halo effect. For more info on this please see http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/circular.htm

This is a superb shot that one waits a long time to get. The sky and angle of the sun have to be perfect - and you were patient enough to capture it. Very well done.

I am a watercolour painter - and this is a great subject - since you own the copyright would you allow me to reproduce it in paint at some point.

This is a brilliant shot. The woman's strength of character and independence comes through very well. I really like the use of B&W for this as it takes away all of the extraneous stuff and allows one to focus on the miller's face. Excellent note
