strange that this intriguing picture didn't get much better recognition from te members! viewed more than 900 times... her gaze, her tight lips, the crop of the picture all make for a special portrait, so different from many children pictures you see around here and elsewhere...

hi james,
i always like to see well-known landmarks represented in a very different way - and in case of the eiffel tower, you managed very well! it is off-centre, the tree seems taller than the tower, and most of all: the lamppost and branch seem to be outside in the white "frame' of the picture. very original!

You have some great pictures, but going through your gallery, my eye fell on this one. I just love the cotton-like clouds lying against the mountains, the subtle layer of snow, and the contrast with the reddish colour of the rocks. Amazing!

hi matej,
for me, this picture stands out in your gallery, you used a good pov, and the subject is remarkable - colourful ceiling, with light coming from below. well seen! i would like some more info though - this looks pretty modern, but you say it is a pavilion at a concentration camp?

to me, this picture stands out in your gallery, and seeing it, makes me want to go there myself. isn't that one of the reasons trekearth was founded in the first place? anyway, what i like here is the sunlight falling on the monastery, while the island(s?) are in the shadow and the water of the lake looks almost grey - making for a perfect background. you say that you take pictures just to document and not to be creative, but i think you did more than just documenting the place here. perhaps you have a better eye for taking good pictures than you realize yourself?

well, i certainly want to make a wish when it comes to beirut and lebanon. may the lebanese be freed, soon, forever, from the scourge of the israeli aggression causing death, destruction, and all that's necessary to generate a new cycle of violence, force, and war in this lovely country that has been cowardly let down by the international community... my best wishes for lebanon indeed!
