a very refreshing composition in spite of the cliched 'calcutta' elements. nice choice of focus, and good use of black and white. i am so glad i chanced upon your portfolio. i do hope to see more of your work.
all the best.

hey:
the college street coffee house staricase is such a promising subject for your kind of photography. i like this one, but i'd like it more if there was no shake. or maybe if the shake was a little more intense. :)
great attempt though.

very clever composition again. the boats mirror the chesspieces in such a cosmic manner. as if someone with greater authority will start playing with the boats like these men are playing with the counters.
great shot!

hey:
wonderful composition! the two bufffaloes and the two rather healthy women make a hilarious parallel.
varanasi is inimitable, and always a pleasure!

hey:
i really like this photo. the two boys are so cute together. and the clothes look like dreams. surreal.

hi again:
really nice shot. i love how the children seem entangled with the metal. the sense of entanglement is really enhanced by the cycle on the right. and they look out to the other side which, being howrah, is full of factories. the whole photograph seems to be a comment on industrialization. the hovering dark clouds are a clincher!
great work.

i love this photo. just the shadows make a good composition. as if people are actually staying away from the "don't piss" sign. the daytime moon overlooking the whole scene is the punctum for me.

awesme subject. nice compsition too. but for once, the distortion seems to come in the way. i like the shadow of the outstretched arm.
