Classic and well composed view of the lake with Wizard Island.

This reminds me once again I need to make a pilgrimage to this lake. I have never photographed it in digital before.

Hi Allan... this is a terrific shot of the tropic shale at Big Water. Nicely processed.

I spent a great deal of time in that area back in June and am going back down again tonight for a couple more weeks of imaging. I photographed a number of hoodoos at the base of that formation. :)

If you stopped at the BLM visitor center at Big Water you may have got to talk with Merle Griffam. He has found the fossils of 12 plesiosaur dinosaurs in this area.

Beautifully captured... the composition highlighting the brown grasses, lavender flowers and snow work well together.

A superb image and well merged.

I like it a lot. The only down side is that it makes things look much smaller than they really are. But you had to do that to capture the whole scene.

You don't provide much tech info but I'm guessing that each of the 4 images were from a wider angled lens as well and, given its aspect, I'd say taken in portrait orientation.

Very nice.

You might try converting this to black and white. I've heard this view might look good that way.

Upper Antelope Canyon View

Superb fine art Grand Canyon landscape. This image has what most GC images lack... great foreground interest. It is hard to compose images with a lot of foreground when taking pictures of The Canyon and folks are often so awestruck that it completely slips their mind. Outstanding composition!

That 17-40 f/4L is a terrific lens and the ND filter helped flatten the lighting exceptionally well to bring out detail across the entire image.
