I agree with most of what has been said here, but I think the contrast can work both ways...here the attention is brought to the wall, whereas if you set the contrast to reveal the faces the attention would be on them...you have to try and use that set black point and set white point option in Curves that I showed you...

Hi Michael, this a nice contrast shot of the two...all of the others in the shot are wearing dark colors that get lost in the shot and then bang there's this blue blob that your eyes snap to right away...nice capture with warm tones on the stones too...thanks for your comments on my Shanghai shot...
