Beautiful picture and just a few yards away from where I stayed, I could see the gold domes from my window every morning so it's great to see the building from a completely different angle (I'm assuming that it was taken from the bell tower of St Sophia's). Great shot :)[+]

I want to find out about Azerbaijan and there's no chance of doing that with this shot, the only interesting thing about this is the number of complaints about it. I am quite open-minded about such shots if they are in any kind of context of learning about the world but this image doesn't represent anything I know about Azerbaijan and is neither educational nor art, sorry.

I really like both this shot and the other and wonder why neither have got much attention. There is something beautiful about Cairo and it's beauty and it's ugliness are encapsulated in both shots, but who could truly call a place ugly after it has naturally developed over thousands of years to be a mix of modernism and strong tradition.

This is a very interesting and heart-rendering capture, the expression on the man's face tells a thousand stories and as the rain comes down you really feel pity but also a kind of admiration or respect for the way the man is trying to help himself in the only way he knows how. Tom :)

What an eerie photo this is, I recently visited Ukraine but I decided against a trip to Chernobyl and the surrounds but there's something about the area, the disaster and the time in which it happened that still makes me feel very spooked out. Thanks for sharing the view of something I didn't dare visit. Tom
