Great POV, interesting angle, nice use of lines and perspective. Would have tried to stretch the focus a bit, but all in all a pretty picture.

Marc,
You have created such clarity with the use of the tripod. It was worth carrying it all that way! I don't have a tripod, but this kind of picture makes me think that maybe I should get one.

Ah, yes, you have caught this guy in a moment many men have had to experience. The sepia gives the picture that extra mood of a lot of time elapsing while he waits.

Giuseppe, you have created a breathtakingly sharp image here - - how did you manage to keep so still on the busy Rialto bridge? Was this taken with a digital camera? Is it even possible to get such specific focus with one?

cette image me fait souvenir que la "Costa Smeralda" se trouve au Sardaigne. Tu as trouvé le vrai couleur de l'isle de l'émeraude!

J'étais là il y'a plusieurs ans, mais ton photo m'y retourne avec memoires vivides.

Firstly I must say you have written an excellent commentary, especially from a non-native English speaker! Secondly, you make beautiful use of light and I swear when I first looked, I thought the building was painted!

PS: the information you gave about Romulus and Remus sparked my interest to read more about them...

Wow, Kath - I can only aspire to take anything approaching as good a photo as this... had it just been raining? The light is so wonderfully warm and intense, yet not overpowering...

And I thought the refectory at my school was sombre - ha!

I appreciate not only the photographic quality here, but also the interesting comments on life in a Cistertvisn monastery.
