The shot has good symmetry to it. I like the composition, but it completely lacks sharpness and the sky is blown out.

I've done a workshop for you to show you how you can fix up this image in photoshop.

I liked this photo from the thumbnail. But, when viewing the full image I find the blackened sky to be too oppressive. I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve with that effect, but I don't like it.

Other than the blackened sky, I do like the extreme contrast elsewhere in the image.

It is a good colorful photo and fits very well into trekearth's theme of "Learning about the world through photography".

With some work in photoshop I think that the photo can be improved quite a bit. I posted a workshop for you.

I like the way that you've captured the bat; with the wings fully spread. However, I don't like the composition. I'd crop the shot much tighter and rotate the bat so he's vertical.

It's a great idea and nice photo. However... I think that it would have been much improved if you had gotten someone coming down the stairs. She's an important element in the picture and form the back she's not very interesting.

Fantastic colors. Great composition. There is so much going on the eye just wanders from one interesting element to another. It's just too bad that it was hand-held - the elements in the distance aren't quite sharp.

A good shot living up to the goal "learning about the world through photography"

I think that the shot could be improved by cropping away much of the top, and a fair amount of the right. What would be left would be the man leading the sheep, the sheep and the truck waiting - all of which are the real story telling elements.

It's also washed out and would be improved by adding some contrast.

It's a good capture with the mouth wide open. But I think that black and white was the wrong choice for this shot as the monkey fades away into the background. I'd also consider cropping away sort of the right so the monkey is less centered.
