Hi Carlos
This picture has piqued my interest, there's something about it which makes me want to linger and study this image. I think it's the lighting which attracts me as you have the man walking in, bathed in bright light so it's almost like you say a religious moment. On the other hand you have the woman sitting in relative darkness and her head is facing towards the door, as if she is anticipating the arrival of something.
The colouring overall is great, this is probably due to polariser, correct me if I'm wrong and the tilt is something I don't mind. Like George, I think this would have done better if you'd used a more catchy title in order to attract more attention.
Good work,
Trish

Hi Carlos,
This photo attracted my attention because of the little girl's direct gaze. Her gaze is deep and almost has a haunted quality, really memerising.
You've chosen an excellent POV and your efforts in interacting with this shy girl has definitely paid off.
B&w is a good choice as it minimises the picture to display the girl's stare as the strongest element. Like Nwoehnl, the picture would have been even better if the sewage grid was cloned out or if you'd taken the photo so it was further away from the girl. However, you are happy with the result and I commend you for taking a fine image!
Best wishes
Trish

Hi Richard
I like this photo best out of your series as it represents the vibrant energy of the Leicester fair - good choice in utilising a panning technique. It's something with which I'm not familiar with so I'm pretty naive about this method. Thanks for showing what this technique can achieve. Was this photo difficult to take or is it fairly easy?
Another aspect which I like is the group of people on the ride which is representative of Leicester. Love the windswept hair on the girl - it definitely adds to the action!
An excellent shot!

Hi Yigal
This is a strong image due to the placement of the child and you've managed to get her sweet-looking expression. The colours of the clothes go so well with the girl's skin colour.
It doesn't matter that the scan is moisy as you have captured the feeling in your image.
An excellent image!

Hi
Sorry I havn't been looking at your work recently, I've been soooo busy!
I see that you are experimenting and this particular shot almost has a studio-like effect to it because of the light effect. It is an extreme bit of processing and it will be liked by some and not by others. To me, the composition is spot on as the flowers aren't centred and the overexposure is dramatic. I think this may be suited to Treklens as it is a creative picture. Good use of a dark frame to offset the whiteness.
Keep posting, I wanna see more from you!

Hi Herve
A poignant, thoughtful note to accompany your photo. Beautiful girls at the festival and the colours of their clothes are lovely. Excellent close up of two girls, they don't seem shy at all! In the UK, it can be difficult to take photos of children as people are so suspicious in light of previous paedophile stories in the media.
You are right in that photography teaches us alot of things and you get to meet people and see many interesting things, it is like a personal adventure!
Thanks,
Trish

Hi
A very good street shot. Good selection of these girls as the colours of their clothes and the umbrellas plus the slight turn of the girl makes this an excellent capture. Great expression on the girl's face. You took the picture at the right moment!
Thanks,
Trish

Hi Elize
A lovely shot of a street in France, very picturesque with plenty of related history. You have captured lovely tones and the colouring is subtle and works well.
Technically, slight processing using a straightening tool would benefit. Perhaps this picture could be even better if you had included people going about their business.
Thanks,
Trish

Hi Ahmet
This is a very strong image in terms of the choice of b&w, it almost looks like sepia on my screen.
The texture is excellent as you've brought out the details of the ground and the walls of the houses - subtle but extremely effective.
The inclusion of the person makes it better as it somehow personalises it and adds interest. Not sure if it could be better if the person was shot in a side-view. Just a thought thats all.
Thanks,
Trish

Hi Cheuk
Your panning technique has worked as the cyclist is in focus with the blurry background. Good bright colour for contrast, like the other critquer, I would prefer the image with the main cyclist only.
I have yet to try this technique as I'm trying to learn the technical aspects of photography and will give this a go.
Thanks for posting,
Trish
