You well worked tones make this one visually appealing. Otherwise though, this is not your best. There is not much happening here, the pp vignettes are somewhat disturbing, the lady is just too random and the focus seems to be on the wall (which is an error in my opinion.
I gotta say I like the recall of the white color of the umbrella and the cross.

Hi Ovidiu, this lake has been made famous by many romanian TE members!:)
I very much like your pov here, using an interesting foreground, with punchy colors, sharp edges, an interesting triangle-shaped rock and the beautiful cloud/mist.
However, I'm questioning your choice of a f-stop at 7.1...I would have used a much higher f-stop in order to really used all the depth in this image. At 7.1, here you only have the couple first feet of water that are in the focus zone. At maybe 14 or more, you'd have the rock with the nice yellow dots on it, the water AND the houses in focus...

malade ça! complètement malade.
Je trouve que ce n'est pas le fini et le soin du détail auquel tu nous as habitué en terme de compo surtout, mais le sujet est explosif et j'adore.
passe mes salutations à ta douce,

Beautiful mood Deniz!
I like the beautiful proportions here. the reflections taking so much space
The tones are well chosen and well executed too. There is a lot of balance all through this picture. Even the nice triangle in the foreground made by the reflection of the cathedral and the sky contribute to balancing the elements.

along the years, TE has become a collection of landscapes. I don't mind landscapes at all...But the world we travel is so much more than just landscapes. My personal tastes have slowly but surely turned toward people and daily life photography. It's been a blessing going through your gallery this morning as there are only few contributors posting this kind of photos on TE nowadays. Like I said, it's not a jab to landscapists, it's just my personal tastes.
In this particular photo, I like the angle that you chose. I'm certain that taken from the front of this man would have given a nice shot too with the deep red wall and the cocacola sign and the fire in the foreground. However, your angle gives a very nice perspective on the surroundings.
I would have liked you to get much closer to the man and the fire. You know, getting closer, a slightly lower pov in orderto really get the textures in the fire and the man's skin. And the best case scenario would have been to have him cook something...
What is the watermark embedded in the top corner of your photo? Is it your signature?

I've read that book countless times when I was a kid. I should read it again now that I've grown up a little. I might have a new perspective on it.
In response to what you said on my photo earlier today, I still come here once in a while. Although I have several pics that I could share, I don't have the same motivation to do so. I used to post photos on other sites, and I stopped posting there too. I might post a couple pics this week.
Now, about your photo. That was a very interesting cloud formation. The lighter straight line in the cloud is very weird...and it's reflected in the wet rocks in the foreground. too bad there was not more light because those colors in the fg look splendid: some maroon and gold blending in with the deep blues.
love the feelings here. feel like walking on a beach/shore talking and thinking.
View from Iceland's "Gateway to Hell" by KristinsCamera (2373)

Iceland is at the very top of my bucket list in terms of travel. I really wish I can go there soon. The foggy/smokey atmosphere is great here and the man sitting on top of the hill makes the composition all the more poetic/thoughtful.
If I could add a constructive critique here, I would say that it lacks a bit of perspective...the fog does not help of course...and I just said that I liked it so you must be wondering ¨well, what would I have done then?¨ Well, it needs balance, so maybe a shorter focal lenght to open up a little and let us see a little more of this gateway to hell. Or maybe work the photo in pp to let some colors shine through the fog.
All the best!
