A pleasure for the eye,
The backlight takes care for a lot of details causing depth in the photo.Also the repeating vertical lines(black in the foreground and grey to white in the background). Interesting is also that the shadows seem to convergate to one point in the background giving still more depth

Hi Alain,
Good compostion. Ik like the white colors. This photo would have gained perhaps more strength to visualize in one or other way more details in the wooden objects (this photo tells us everything in daily life of this villagers is made of wood). A photo later or earlier on the day with more``touching light``? In stead of colour black and white?
I would have tried to eliminate the grass a little bit.
Use of an wide angle? Especially the innerside of the boat seems interesting. To be short a subject with so many possibilties.

Beautiful composition. Interesting is the difference between the sharp and realistic scenary above and in front of the photo and on the other side the more unsharp and alsmost mystic and vanishing scenary in the background,

Hi Cem,
Very characteristic figure. In the elderly the under cheek of a person becomes more prominent,and this explains perhaps some ressemblance with the strip figure Popeye. Hower Popeye was using spinache to become strong and not cigars. So I am not sure.
Nevertheless nice picture of this typical Cubean man with his Cigar.
