Wonderfully saturated colours. Although the photo is about the mirror image, from a personal preference I wouldn't have the dividing line quite so close to midway in the image. I'd rather cut the 'mirror' about midway between the tip of the spire and the current bottom of the image, to include more of the woodland above.
Edinburgh architecture: The Venel by ikeharel (77137)

A very different image of Edinburgh to most that we see. It's not always easy to illustrate just how steep some parts of Edinburgh are, but this one does it beautifully. Great composition, strong enough that items like the white van and the coach, which could be distracting, blend into the background very quickly. Thanks too for the derivation of vennel, I've used the term most of my life, knowing what it meant but not its origin.

You need to be careful using terms like 'chubby'. There was a complaint in our local paper when the police used the term in the description of a lady who had gone missing. The complainant said they should have used the term 'medium build' despite the description having been provided by a family member. You really couldn't make it up! :-)

Strong image and very informative note. Although the church itself is very small in the image, the line of the steps immediately draws the eye upwards. There is a strong temptation with this type of image to centre the steps and a different viewpoint is nice to see. You say you can get an ice cream or a drink at the top. I think I would need oxygen!

Just a warning that the apes can be far more than just cheeky! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/gibraltar-ape-attack-leaves-brit-4497929 The guy in the photo was doing nothing to annoy the ape which attacked him, it came from behind him. Doctors at the hospital said they are seeing attacks more often, and the attacks are becoming more serious too.

What an incredible sight, and one we never see in the UK. I wasn't even aware that this kind of thing existed so it really is a case of learning about the world through photography. I particularly like the repetition of shape and colour behind the rear wheel of the bikes on the top level.
