I attended Umass Amherst many years ago and know the Pagoda well...and cannot believe how much they have added to it over the years. This looks nothing like I remember but now makes me want to go back. And lets not forget Rattle Snake Gutter Road! ;) Cheers and tyfs

By the look of the beads on her wrist, I would venture to guess that her ethnicity was Asian, as the beads are Buddhist Beads...I too have these but mine are made of wood. Very nice photo!

I went to school at UMASS Amherst and stumbled upon this place back in 1987 and was quite impressed with it. To the right was a building that had burnt down, I believe it was the first living quarters on the site but not sure. I hope you have also gone to the Guru Ramdash Ashram nearby? If not, I highly recommend it. Nice walk to a water fall and if u r feeling up to it, a walk to the rangers station! Great photo...awesome sky!
