It is indeed a good place for geographers, geologists and any tourist wanting to see a very beautiful place.
About this particular photo. Its very noisy, which of course can´t be avoided if you don´t have a camera that can give better resolution. I have been at this place durig almost identical conditions and chose to make several photos from similar angles. Moreover I agree with banyanmans helpful tips and WS. Rotating and excluding the distracting overexposed clouds around the sun etc improved the image. The clouds certainly destroy the harmony of the scenery IMHO. Another choise would have been to underexpose the photo at the time like this.

Very nice colors and composition. The greens and blues are just perfect, and so are the distinct clouds. The water is slightly overexposed but it is a side matter. Although it is a fairly common angle of the waterfall, yet it is different and captures the place at its very best. How can you not be a fan of this place when you see this photo?

Sæll og blessaður.
Nice photo of the lighthouse and Snæfellsjökull. This is one of my favourite places in Reykjavík and the photo illustrates well why. I would have chose a landscape format for this photo though, being closer to the pools down at the beach to get them in the photo. Moreover more room is needed to the left of the lighthouse, as it feels very tight. The colors and the timing for the setting sun are spot on.

It is indeed a nice place but difficult to photograph. I have always found the wooden boards to be annoying and really ruin the nice shots you could make of the pool and the surroundings. The two other problems in this area are all the tourists and rope fences that keeps appearing on any overview photo, as seen in the background of this photo. IMO the best angle of this pool is probable from the left of this photo, and avoiding the top of the pool so as not to get the boards in the photo.
Btw, the blue pool is cool and only get some moderately warm water from being connected to the hot pool in the background.

Well seen and captured! Takes some patience to get this. It's nice with some foreground in the form of the town and some of Esja. I could recommend Neatimage for some additional noise reduction. It could also benefit from some color correction to reduce the green as seen in the fringes of the clouds. I have some aurora photos from Reykjavík here at TE for comparison. Well done.

Nice angle. It sort of reminds me of this photo ;-). I think it would benefit from some work on the white balance and some noise-reduction with Neatimage. It is nice to see this angle of the interior instead of the typical outside view.

One of the last times I went to the south coast the weather was really clear and I stopped on this exact side road to snap some photos of Hekla. I chose to make telelens photos of the volcano from the other side of the road somewhere in the middle of your photo. Your choice of using the road and the fences for the perspective and composition I think has really benefitted the image in this case. Well done.
Best regards, Fredrik
