The weather might not have been too good to be outdoors, but it certainly contributes to a great image, Harriet. I like the action portrayed here - very dramatic. The old ship is lovely and the green colour scheme makes it stand out. Nice composition.

I suppose this is what TE is about - so that a South African can sit in Dubai and enjoy the pictures a Frenchman took in his country. I love how you managed to capture the feeling desolation in this image, the remoteness, the changing colours of the mountains in the distance, the cloud formation. I like your tremendous depth of field and the absolute sharpnes of the image. Well composed.

Well done Wisam. This is realy a great image of one of Africa's big five. I like the crisp focus of the picture and the hungry look in the leopard's eyes. Now you know what goes through a Big Whopper's mind when you sit down to lunch!!

Well done Steve. This must rate as one of the better images of the Tynemouth Priory I have seen. Your composition, with the grave stones in the foreground and the ruin behind, is superb. What I like best is the pin sharp quality of the image and your great depth of field. My only suggestion would be that you could perhaps enhance the image somewhat by increasing the contrast slightly.

I can well understand, as you say, that the cottage in the picture must be a very popular holiday home. Strong, colourful image, conveying the restfull, peaceful atmosphere. Also, thank you for your informative notes (to this and other postings). They add great value to your images.

Hi Harriet. Your composition here is great - it conveys such a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and draws the viewer to the place. From a technical POV I like your framing with the reflections of the cottages in the water. If you could do the same image later in the day (dusk) and use a slightly slower shutter speed, the reflections should be stronger and more defined.
