Bonjour Serge Good grief! That sure is a lot of snow. They only ever get light snow in Seoul although in Sokcho on the east coast they sometimes need the army and army reserves to remove it all. There was 40 cm of snow in Sofia Bulgaria in January 2016. The most I have ever seen in an urban area. Looks pretty when its fresh. The men add scale. Tfs!

Hi Murat As far as I know there is no problem leaving the US for Istanbul from the US on an international flight with Turkish Airlines eg. Not sure about American aircraft rules? The problem is coming back from Istanbul to the US. I know I would not want to check my camera through as cargo. The luggage sometimes falls onto the tarmac and contents get damaged. Plus I would be worried about theft. Back to the winding road in the snow shot, the zig zag pattern adds string lead in lines and perspective. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Salut Nicolas, When I lived near the DMZ in Korea I was always sad to see the migratory birds abandon their summer nests in November and fly south for the winter. Like losing old friends. But they return in Spring. Here I like the minimalist composition and use of three. Tfs!

Hello Alexandre, Fantastic aerial shot of the relatively narrow isthmus. Parents can opt to take small children to the calmer waters of the beach at left although it seems the boats have staked a claim right along the shore. Tfs!

Bonjour Philippe, Fantastic symmetrical reflections with good sharpness and nice inclusion of the water birds at far left. I like the tiered wooden dividing fence. The narrow treelined peninsula jutting out into the water adds perspcetive and lead in lines. Tfs!

Hello Lars I spent a few days in Uppsala and seem to recall there were 2 cathedrals. I like the extreme wide angled view although it is not everyone's cup of tea & they try to correct the tilt at the sides. But here the central vertical line is perfectly straight so no big drama. Tfs!

Hello Gert, A superb daily life scene from Armenia of the 2 neighborhood women chatting. I only got to peer across the border at Ani from the Turkish side. Relations between Armenia & Turkey are still very frosty almost a century after the massacres of the 1920's. It is even forbidden by law to mention the word 'genocide' in Turkey. And of course the border remains closed. Armenians avoiding flying through Istanbul and head through Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Romania instead when heading west to major cities in north west Europe.[+]
