The long landscape size is well adapted to this scenery and the coming rain gives a grey hues to the bacground. The small island seems to prepare to withstand the storm, its pine trees looking as lightning rods.
nice soft colors.

you seem to master well the photography and know what to do to get what you have in your mind. We don't feel it's an HDR shot (congratulations!) and you get mainly 2 colors: a bursting orange well lighted by the overall grey hues, except the white roofs reflections.
The movement of the wheel contrasts well also with the houses.

Hello my neighbour John!
That's not street photography, but you still have a human presence.
Nicely spotted, pin sharp, with the orange bursting out of the grey sky, and the women dressed in black hooking on their mast. Though the exposure time is 1/2500s, the propeller of the higher plane is blurred, so giving the sense of motion yet given by the white smoke! But where is the plane N°1?

I missed it, I should not take holidays! As always a B&W image with a human presence, and here taken at the right moment, enhanced by the many converging shadows of her legs. Her hair position, and the long step she produces indicates that she is in hurry.

the same shot as Craig, but
- you've opted for a vertical format to include the pink flowers at the foreground and the sea at bottom
- the light is coming from the opposite direction (I feel you take the picture in the morning).
I like the colors of the houses and parasols of the restaurants.
My warmest regards

perfect light which illuminates the city on the rocks, coloring in orange the houses, deepening the blue of the sea, creating shadows which give the feeling of the third dimension. Almost no one in the harbour, maybe it was too late and everybody were in the restaurants!

All the events you write are nothing compare to what is going to happen in Autralia and in the world. Money is governing the world, and destroying it too. I have been in New Caledonia for 10 month during my army period and I remember all the jewels I have seen even at 1 meter above the sea level.
Nice blue planet picture!

A perfect market scene, the cone hat of the seller being in accordance with the ochre spices well lit by the lateral sun. The lady dress and part of the FG contrasts nicely with these warm colors.

Welcome to TE
Stunning picture, and I can't believe it when I read your note "I took the shot under the harsh early afternoon summer Sun", for me it was a winter picture!
