Great shot! I love night shots, I love available light, I love off-white colour balance, I love moody shadows. This shot has all that and an edgy subject to boot. You should consider selling this to the many tattoo mags that are published.
My monitor crushes the shadows a bit, and nobody else is saying anything, but perhaps some more fill in the shadows would help a little. Not much, just enough to show a little detail, but before making the shot bland and grey.
Nice work.

It is unfortunate that people here would condemn this shot because it contains a gun. What better way to show how things really are? By showing a photo like this, even if you interpret the man as being proud of his gun, you are not hiding from the truth. What if he is proud of it? That is a strong statement about who this is and what he feels. Showing pictures of people holding guns is not the same as approving weapons or violence. What better way to learn fear of violence, and the desire to condemn it, than to see those who live close to it? And who is to say that this man doesn't have much choice but to protect his livelihood with force?
How arrogant to judge a photo for showing reality. I would much rather see this and have a connection to it than see a hundred bland shots of buildings, sunsets and plants.
A compelling portrait, Krzystof, and I salute your courage in showing the truth.

Bulent,
Gorgeous shot here. Love the late afternoon low sun. The three sails are very stately, like this is a demonstration for royalty.
My only thought would be to apply a hint of sharpening after resizing. The details in the boats are just a hair muddy. The original full size shot must be stunning.
Hope you are well!
Cheers,
Andrew.

Really good work on the layout, Gilad. The contrast is lovely, as are the colours... especially how the lower half has a natural gradation of the orange across three frames.
Excellent work, both shooting and posting.
Cheers,
Andrew, "Boots".

Dan,
What a great shot to push you over the 10 000 point edge. A coincidence that it happens to be shot 100 from Canada! Well composed, and it feels very serene.
Cheers,
Andrew.
