Hi Elaine, Very nice encounter of blues you have captured here but an even nicer encounter of beautiful curious eyes! I used to have the same haircut when I was a little girl (we called it a Jommeke kapsel - if you know him?), which makes me even more akin to her.
I have never thanked you for commenting on my last (long time ago posted) Laos pictures, I so much appreciate you had taken the time to do so, I am really pleased you like them. As you said, it doesn’t matter all that much if it gets any points, as heartfelt comments like yours, mean so much more; so thank you!
Currently still into deliberation myself of where my next trip will go to. I honestly have no idea where I would like to go. I was looking full of expectation at your Indonesia pictures as that was a country on my mind, but I see that you were not all that taken by it. Burma is in my heart and on my mind to go as well, but I don’t want to return before I have a new camera (if ever I’ll have one!) and India is also high on the list. Our travel thoughts seem to run parallel. Where in India will you be going? If ever that would be my decision we might be there at the same time!
I hope you are well Elaine, and I want to wish you a merry and worriless Christmas! Warm wishes, Sabine

Hi Armando, Isn't it incredible that 95 people have viewed this image and no one has left a comment?
Why? I have no idea; I just know why I DO leave a comment. I think you have created a wonderful composition here, with that beautiful, threatening but poetic tree covering the ruins of this castle. It gives it a somehow spooky touch. Very creative point of view. It looks like a wonderful place too. I love the post processing you have done here too, wonderful sepia shades. Perhaps going more into a contrasted B/W would have enhanced the threatening character, that is, of course, if you want to convey that. I think this is one of your better shots. I see that you have turned into a painter now; from Turner to this piece of art. Sabine

Sabine

Hi Elaine, Welcome back! I was waiting for you to post the fist photo and as often, waiting has been rewarded. Quit a first post you present us here, so mystical and beautiful. The image fills the viewer with the air you must have been breathing in. It makes me regret even more that I have not made it out there. Lovely shot and thank you for letting me escape in some dreams. Hope you had an enjoyable and safe trip. Sabine

Hi Elaine, Interesting note and lovely picture. I love visiting schools when travelling and I can not resist taking photos of the kids in the windows like here. The brown of the shutters mixes beautiful with that wonderful turquoise. Happy to read that you have your visa, a new journey can finally begin. Happy travels! Sabine

Hi Luca, I can not believe that this shot has not received any comments so far. This absolutely is a world class shot - to me anyway. I love the originality of your composition a lot. It simply is beautiful; the colours bursting into that wonderful blue sky is exquisite. I can feel the soft touch of the breeze that drapes the woman's clothes so beautifully. I love it Luca! A most sad sideline in your note though, but very interesting; I didn't know this. So thank you for sharing that. Sabine

Hi Luca, What an amazing work! I can hardly believe the photo is for real as I can not imagine this landscape even exists. As Elaine says, I have never seen any landscape like it, but I can't wait to see it though! Your image is of incredible beauty. It makes me silent and small when contemplating it. simply stunning work with this beautiful light that adds a veil of mystery. Sabine

Hi Luca, I usually like my neighbours, but today particularly! Wonderful note to start of with, I always look forward to reading them! The image is very intense. There is a feeling of peace to the scene and still you can hear the wind blow, your hear the squeaking of the sheds blocked door and you squint your eyes for the dust that covers you. An image covered mystery but also in such beautiful light and soft colours. Very carefully composed. Superb work that makes me travel and dream! Sabine
