what a great shot :) the timing is excellent, with the boat passing underneath the bridge. and it's a wonderfull view of the onslaught of tourists that this city has to endure (as well as a nicely composed shot that shows just WHY these tourists all come here; it really is a beautifull place)

Een bizar gezicht om die houten plaat de bogen tussen de pilaren en de werg-gallerij zo abrupt te zien onderbreken. De reflectie van het licht of the houten wand is bijzonder mooi gezien.
Een zeer boeiende en surrealistische foto.

When typing "dinant" in the search option of TrekEarth, the result is page after page after page of photographs taken from this exact location. Nevertheless, your photograph jumps out because of the superior lighting as well as the composition. The difference might seem subtle at first, but your photograph has a more balanced composition, with the church more to the side and showing more of the village. Also the boat in the foreground adds some life and depth to the shot.

very nice composition with the staircase :) also good job on getting a shot in bad weather without whiting out the sky.
