In Photoshop CS3 I modified this photo in 4 steps.
1. Tilt: Image->Rotate Canvas->Arbitrary, choose angles until the photo is aligned.
2. Sharpness: Filter->Sharpen to make the photo crisp
3. Filter: Image->Adjustments->Photo Filter->Warming Filter(85) I thought warming this would match the color of the soil.
4. Contrast: Image->Adjustments->Brightness/Contrast. Adjust contrast to a desirable level.
In this one I've straigtened the boat out, this means I've put the bow on a vertical line, giving you a more diagonal picture. I've cropped away some of the background and added some sharpening. Hope You like it.
