I used Photoshop CS2 to edit the image. I cropped it to panoramic format, added %20 contrast and gave %-10 brightness. Then I used Exposure setting to adjust the shadows and hiiglights.
Also did USM.

Adjuste the "shadows/highlights" to lighten the cloud shaded areas just a little.

Auto contrast
Auto levels
Revive colours
Gamma+
Highlights+
Sharpen
Frame - sampling some green from the grass.
