(1835) [2003-01-01 11:51:01] [2] | Hi Eric, welcome.
I think this is a beautiful picture, great framing, great color and lighting.
I'm a little put off by the perspective (the leaning door frame). Here's a quick and dirty version for your consideration.
I cropped a bit off the bottom, not sure that I like that part any better.

(1835) [2003-01-02 22:51:14] [3] | Welcome Felix. You've got objects on both the right and left of the picture that don't (in my opinion) add to the picture and are slightly out of focus.
Let me suggest cropping out the edges and a bit of the bottom to concentrate on the real subject matter of the picture. You're left with the unusual palm tree trunks and the viewer is left wondering what those kids are so interested in.

(1835) [2003-01-03 11:23:08] [1] | Interesting shot with the men sitting in the arch and giving it scale. How about cropping away a bit of the right edge to eliminate the 'flat' area and increase the vertical feel?
I did an 'Auto Levels' in PSE which made the color a bit 'richer' (IMHO). |

(1835) [2003-01-04 10:04:29] [1] | Hi Felix.
Here's a version (maybe not THE version). I straightened the perspective in PSE (maybe not perfectly, I'm in a hurry). Then I cropped some from each side, more from the right.
This should give you some idea of what you can do with this shot. The results are likely to be better if you work from the full size file and then reduce to display size.
The glare on the one picture frame caused it to be totally blown out. You might want to consider copy and pasting the content from the other frame to eliminate the white spot. For some people that crosses the line in terms of photo fixup. Your call.

 Levels Adjustment | adam
(848) [2003-01-05 02:36:42] [9] | | This seemed a bit soft, but after adjusting the Levels it became quite saturated, so I desaturated a bit and added a tiny amount of contrast. I tried rotating to straighten the column, but this would cut off the foot so I left that part as is. |

(52) [2003-01-05 05:12:16] [1] | | The land on the left hand side is a little yellower which seems more natural to me. And the mountain in front is less blue. But the top left corner are all rgb(255,255,255), not too possible to be corrected. |
