Van,
I added you to my favourites, because I would like to see your work again in the near future. I looked at your photos, and maybe I can give you an advise.
You have a good feeling for colour, and you know how to choose a POV and use this in your compositions. I do not know what are your likes and likes-not, but you could consider what your central theme will be in your portfolio, now you have a lot of different interests, and people can get disoriented, they prefer a clear opinion about what you present. (in all honousty, my portfolio on TE is a mess)
In the photo, your strong points are visable; good POV, composition and colour. Unfortenately, it's not sharp, and to me a little bit too light.
You have used a diagonal in the composition, from the bottom left to the right upper. This is a classical tool in photography, remember it and use it. People are attracted to this.
More difficult is the notion of movement. This also appeals to people, but it is very difficult to capture. In painting you can use different tecniques, but in photography, you need to look at different things. For instance the way people walk, lines in the photo and also (again) composition). Your photo has a feeling of movement, but the children counter this by looking at you. It is a little bit confusing. Although it is nice that they do look, it makes the feeling of the photo more unclear.
I hope you are not offended by the one point, I use the full scale, not selecting two points automaticly anymore. I do like the photo, but the lack of sharpness is important in almost any photo. I hope to see more, and I hope my critique will help you.
with respect and good luck!
David
